L.L.Bean’s Signature Fall 2010 Collection Recap – Maine Fashion at its Best
After previewing the L.L. Bean Signature Fall 2010 Collection this past Wednesday night in Portland, I have a newfound appreciation for New England inspired style. Needless to say, I left the preview with several must-have staples added to my shopping wish list.
The new collection has an updated style that fits Portland locals to a T. The women’s line features many tailored items, yet still proves casual enough for the laid-back Portland scene. I saw a lot of corduroy pants and shorts, day to night blazers, classic plaids in the upcoming autumn hues, over-sized sweaters and cardigans, and even some really cute blouses with bird designs on them (an item that I will definitely be purchasing come fall)!
Another eye-catching aspect to the Fall 2010 Collection are the bags and clutches – both leather and canvas alike. I love that they are huge statement pieces, adding polished sophistication to any outfit.
The women’s line is a breath of fresh air compared to the traditional L.L.Bean look, and based on the enthusiasm I saw at the preview, I’d say they are definitely on the right track with their slimmer cuts and luxe fabrics. L.L.Bean’s Signature Fall 2010 Collection is Maine fashion at its best and may even give J.Crew a run for their money!
The entire collection hits the L.L.Bean website on August 2nd…it’s already marked on my calendar, and you probably want to mark it on yours!
