Why: Emma’s look works perfectly, not only for her long and lean body type, but also for the multitasking maven she is. We often get so caught up in buying our fitness pieces based on the activity that we are doing, and not for the style/color, or most importantly – the fit!
How many times have you gone into a yoga class and seen people head to toe in lululemon? Don’t get me wrong, I have done it myself (love lulu!) a few more times than I’d like, but just because you are doing yoga does not mean you must wear a yoga brand! We have gotten away from the main point of our clothes – we want to feel good and look good.
Don’t be afraid to mix sports! Take a Orage capri and wear it to yoga, a Roxy short and wear to boot camp, a Nike tank and wear it to BarSculpt. Emma is a great example of utilizing her wardrobe and what fits her best to feel most comfortable getting her daily endorphin fix.
Now onto fit! We are in the season where maxi dresses & skirts are of ruling power and playing up our arms is the new trend. Emma has a long lean dancer’s body and has focused on simple colors and long layers that work perfectly for an ever-changing June day in Maine. Her pants hug in at the waist and sit low; her tank scoops and sits wide accentuating the collar bones; and her scarf, satchel bag and hoodie give her those extra layers and touch of femininity to complete her outfit and keep her warm on those damp days.
