What’s In My Bag? Sweeter Salt

After reading Laura’s delectable blog about food, fashion and life, we were curious… what exactly does a stylish local blogger tote around in her bag? Lucky for us, Laura let us take a peek!
Functional Fashion
Laura walked into our office toting the perfect carry-all – a Michael by Michael Kors black leather handbag. “It’s my go-to big black bag,” she tells us. She does, however, like to switch up her bags a couple times a week, and it’s her LeSportsac pouch that aids in making these transitions easy, fast and efficient. Take note (especially if you change handbags often), Laura stores all of her daily essentials – lip gloss, makeup, chapstick, etc. – in this little bag and simply transfers it when switching handbags. When she does make the switch, she opts for her tan Mariner leather purse (a favorite from L.L.Bean Signature) or her smaller vintage Dooney & Burke cross-body (scored at a local flea market).
A Pop of Color
A pop of color spices up any everyday black bag. “I like having a colorful wallet.” Laura’s Cole Haan wallet is a statement piece; its rich pumpkin-orange color makes it stand out among the other items in her bag.
Say Cheese
“I almost always have my camera on me – for my blog and I’m obsessed with my dog.” Keeping your camera in your handbag is always a good idea. You’ll be sure to capture all of those special moments, and in Laura’s case, her favorite little puggle.
Local Finds
Laura loves shopping locally – one of the many reasons we were instantly drawn to her blog and her personal style. “I do try to shop locally as much as possible. I love the stores around the Old Port.” Laura loves shopping at Find, a second hand clothing store on Free Street. Her latest “Find” was a faux fur vintage jacket that we totally dig. Since the sleeves are ¾ length, she makes sure to pack long black gloves in her bag when taking a stroll through the Old Port.
