I Got You Babe

We all have those little ones in our lives that we can’t help but spoil… and there is no better time that lends us such an opportunity as the holiday season. But remember, when you’re buying a gift for a youngster, you have two parties to please - your favorite little munchkin and their logical guardians. Don’t fret. Ms Lulu’s has tons of unique and stylish gifts for children that are approved by smart parents everywhere!
Seeing as I am neither a child nor a parent, I step into a different mind-set when buying gifts for little ones. I think to myself, what did I wish I had at that age? How can I allow them to express themselves during these developmental years? What gift will be most useful? It didn’t take long to figure out exactly what I would (and secretly still do) want as a little girl. Sheabella Tutu’s, made by a local Maine artist, would have been my staple in the sandbox, the classroom, and nearly everywhere but the bathtub. Coming in a variety of sizes and colors, it’s easy to find the perfect fit for our tiny individual. The tutu touches upon two key aspects of my gift-giving goal: creativity and consciousness. Supporting local artistry leads to irreplaceable gifts and a helping hand in the growth of our talented community.
Since I picked the tutu for the interest of the child (and my own vicarious excitement), I also have to remember the interest of the parent. What does my Mom wish she had when I was young? My guess is a Sugar Booger plastic bib that can effortlessly be wiped clean, making messy escapades a thing of the past!
So while I walk away with a tutu and a bib, I haven’t forgotten about the Nowali Cotton Tights in fun prints or the adorable monkey stuffed animals. Ms Lulu’s quality selection is guaranteed to please the kids AND their parents, all while supporting our precious Portland culture. With all of these gift-giving conditions covered, the only thing left to do is wrap it up… and see the joy on their faces when they open it this holiday season!
